I am an agroeconomist working in the Commission since 1986. I served initially
in the Commission Delegations (Ethiopia, Burundi and Uganda) and since 1995 I
have been posted in Brussels. I am at present responsible for
agriculture/Rural
Development policies and sector programmes (what is also known as ASIPs or
SWAPs). In addition to our policy work, I am particularly interested in the
issues raised by sectoral planning, budgetary financing and impact
monitoring of
public expenditure.
